Tina and Dorian met at UCLA in 2009.
Though they had been on the same campus for years,
they didn’t find each other until the last month of college.
They wonder if they had ever crossed paths . . .
at the library
or walking up and down Bruin Walk...
or maybe at a party. . .
It wasn’t until one day,
while at a training in the woods,
that Tina and Dorian finally met and spoke for the first time.
They instantly
felt a connection
and stayed up all night
talking and playing cards.
After graduating they thought it was nice meeting each other,
but it was time to go their separate ways.
Dorian moved to South Korea in 2010
and Tina started her life in the Big Apple.
Despite the distance, they talked every day.
Tina would stay up until 2 am.
Dorian would wake up at 6am.
Through countless emails, calls, messages, and letters
they realized just how connected they really were.
In 2011, Dorian moved to
New York to win Tina’s heart.
Thus began their time
experiencing their new city
together...
They laughed, danced, explored.
And soon enough, “like” turned to “love.”
But at that moment fate had other plans,
and once again our two lovers were separated by
distance. In 2012, Tina moved to San Francisco
to pursue a new career.
Dorian patiently bid his time
until they could be together again.
After finishing graduate school
at NYU, he caught the first available
one-way flight to San Francisco.
And six months later,
beneath the Golden Gate
Bridge, Dorian proposed.
And Tina said yes.
